I found this beauty while exploring an abandoned farmhouse in the eastern hills of Keuka Lake, NY. The original photo was submitted to “Finger Lakes Magazine” and won an award. I’ve since produced this version with more of a painterly, dreamy feel about it.
Found north of Naples, NY. An old rusty tractor in roadside woods had initially attracted me. The tractor, however, proved uninspiring and was simply an invitation to probe a bit deeper to find this treasure!

Shot in brilliant sun in Santa Fe, NM, these glossy, colorful pots presented a bold graphic image. It wasn’t until I viewed this photo on my monitor that I noticed the bright purple splotch of color on the lower-right red pot. (Blue into Red = Purple). And this was light, not paint!
The start of a long vertical hike through Tent Rocks National Monument near Santa Fe, New Mexico
Shot at night with a flash, multiple layers of paint on a sailboat keel (out of the water) have rendered an iridescent abstract image.
On land, oxidized mineral streaks drip below a sailboat’s pale yellow waterline. The boat’s rudder is seen protruding in the lower right corner. The abstraction of the streaks pleasantly confuses the reality of the image.
